PERS will be awarding up to $300 to assist in student travel to scientific meetings for presenters. Priority is given to travel for the PERS annual meeting. Minimum grants will be $50 in US/Cdn. These grants will be awarded as reimbursement at the meeting, or by arrangement with PERS Executive board approval. To qualify students must be making a presentation at the meeting and will require proof of student status (eg student ID).
Estimated travel expenses should be provided on the grant application. Awards will be scaled to distance traveled. Do not include registration fees, this is a travel grant to assist in travel, housing or food expenses.
Grant applications much be received before the deadline indicated on the PERS website. Applications received after the deadline will be given consideration based on funds available. All applicants will receive an acknowledgement of receipt.
